Grammy-Winning Producer Hit-Boy Reveals Adult Soundtrack Past

LOS ANGELES — Grammy-winning hip-hop and RnB producer Hit-Boy revealed this week that some of his early work appeared uncredited in adult productions by retired performer Pinky, aka Pinky XXX.

Hit-Boy, a veteran hitmaker with a decade-long career — including smashes like "Niggas in Paris" by Jay-Z and Kanye West, "Trophies" by Drake, "Racks in the Middle" by Nipsey Hussle featuring Roddy Ricch, “Drop the World" by Lil Wayne, "Sorry" by Beyoncé and "Sicko Mode" by Travis Scott — revealed on social media what he called “the part of my journey I never told no one.”

“My cousin Phashon (RIP) used to direct porn when I was younger,” Hit-Boy confessed. “He used to buy beats from me for the score to his films. He bought this beat from me for a Pinky scene when I was 18.”

The news was gleefully celebrated by hip-hop news sites, which also quoted many fans reacting to Hit-Boy’s revelation about his adult soundtrack work for Pinky, a cult icon in the Black community for her early 2000s-2010s XXX clips.

According to IMDB, Pinky was active in the industry for a decade starting in 2006. Hit-Boy’s first hits as a mainstream music producer date from 2011.

Hit-Boy told his fans that he “might be the only person in the world to ever go from scoring Pinky videos to Beyoncé albums.”
