Vicky Vette Celebrates 20-Year Industry Anniversary

LOS ANGELES — Vicky Vette is celebrating her 20-year anniversary in the adult industry.

Vette started her career at the age of thirty-seven after winning Hustler Magazine's Beaver of The Year Award in 2003. Her first film appearance was subsequently in "Service Animals" for Joey Silvera Productions. Since then, she has gone on to be one of the first performers to release content directly to fans via her still active official website. In 2009, she also created the VNAGirls Network.

''20 years — not bad for a girl who was told she was too old by agents and photographers when she first started in 2003," mused Vette. "Thank goodness the MILF wave hit just then and hasn't subsided yet. There are way too many people to thank such as Doc Johnson, Flirt4Free, theHun, CCbill, Epoch, MojoHost, XBIZ and of course the girls such as Sara Jay and Julia Ann who took a chance with me being their webmaster right at the beginning. Without help from my business partners and friends I wouldn't have been able to do what I have."

Vette also shared her thoughts on what the future of the industry might hold.

"Sadly, you would think after 20 years it would be a more accepting world, but in recent years government agencies, jurisdictions and processors are making it harder and harder for us," Vette expressed. "On the one hand, we have more amazing platforms than ever to generate incredible revenue for performers, and on the other, there are more potential legal issues and road blocks being put up such as the recent Utah and Louisiana laws. I started during the Wild Wild West days of the net when MySpace was around — there has never been a more important time for us to be cohesive."

She concluded, "I am so glad I've been around long enough to see this explosion of fan platforms and hopefully the trend of performer independence continues to grow. I'll stick around as long as fans enjoy my content."
