Eldorado Trading's Jeff Waterstreet Retires

BROOMFIELD Colo. — Eldorado Trading Co. Sales Account Manager Jeff Waterstreet is retiring from the company.

Waterstreet, who celebrated his 45th anniversary with Eldorado last August, was one of the original 12 employees to join the company in 1977 when it was located in Boulder. His first job with the company was packing orders in the warehouse when Eldorado still sold smoke products. He moved to sales in 1980 and continued in that role when the company switched to pleasure products in 1989.

"Jeff has been a blast to work with," Eldorado Sales and Marketing Director Derek DalPiaz said. "He’s always in a good mood and has the best one-liners ever. He also is a wealth of knowledge about everything adult — products, vendors, customers and the history of Eldorado and the industry. He will be missed, and the office just won’t be the same. I’m very happy that I’ve had time to work with him and get to know him. I wish him the best in retirement."

CEO Wanda Garland praised Waterstreet's commitment to the company.

"Jeff evolved with Eldorado over the last 46 years, from our early days distributing smoking accessories and throughout all our time within the pleasure products industry," she said. "Jeff is quite a character and has a great sense of humor. We couldn’t have asked for a more loyal and dedicated worker. He has been an integral part of the company for a very long time and will be missed. Here’s to Jeff and may he have a great retirement."

The company celebrated Waterstreet's retirement with a commemorative plaque and cupcakes for the Eldorado team. Regarding his time with the company, Waterstreet referenced The Grateful Dead, saying, "What a long, strange trip it’s been."
