Blush Taps JoAnn DeTurris as New COO

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Blush has hired JoAnn DeTurris as the company's new chief operating officer.

DeTurris brings over 25 years of experience in the health, wellness and nutrition industry, notably with supplement company Nature's Bounty. She also has extensive experience in top-level brand licensing, as well as consulting and development for small businesses.

The new COO will oversee all operations, allowing co-founders Verna Meng and Eric Lee to focus on strategic development.

"Since joining us, JoAnn has earned the respect from the entire Blush team for her extraordinary people skills and ability to tackle obstacles with creativity and innovation," said Meng. "She’s shown enormous wisdom by facing obstacles with inspiration and positivity. We are proud and honored to announce JoAnn as our new COO and confident that her leadership will help bring Blush to the next level."

DeTurris will focus on growth, expansion, infrastructure development and partnerships.

"JoAnn will focus on creating strong partnerships with our distributor and retail partners while implementing efficiencies we can scale as our business grows," said Lee.

DeTurris enthused about her new role.

"I am thrilled to be stepping into this role at this point in our industry’s history," she said. "The world is openly discussing matters of sexuality and its links to health and wellness. As a minority-woman-owned business, Blush is poised to expand our footprint and lead the sexual wellness conversation through our unique educational programs, expanding field operations, and innovative product offerings."
