Factory Video Founder, Activist Scott Morris Passes

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. — Noted community activist and gay adult producer Scott Morris, aka Robert Todd Fulton, passed away at his home on Friday, following a yearlong battle with an aggressive form of tongue cancer. He was 68.

"Scott brought joy, humor and happiness to all those around him and was truly one of a kind. I’m going to miss him like crazy," shared ZBuckz owner Danny Z, who described Morris as "a close friend, business partner and mentor" and alerted industry colleagues to the news.

A longtime community activist and organizer, Morris co-founded pro/am studio Factory Video in 1998, which spawned a wide array of niche labels — among them Blue Alley Productions, Factory Bareback, Threshold Media, Pumphouse and Street Trade — as well as an ahead-of-its-time social networking site for fans of specialized content.

Morris saw Factory as a way to help fans of such content find each other, and described it this way: "We have always been a company that prides ourselves on serving our customers and our models first. We want our models to be able to express themselves in a way that reflects the sex that they really enjoy. So, we direct with only the minimum of control. The models just have the sex they enjoy the most."

A GoFundMe campaign was launched earlier this year to assist with medical bills and related expenses; click here to donate, and for additional details about Morris' colorful life and prolific career. He is survived by his husband of 31 years, Gordon Fulton, as well as their dog Truvada, family members and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.
