Jake Adelstein Guests on Matt Slayer's 'And Now We Drink' Podcast

LOS ANGELES — Jake Adelstein is the latest guest on Matt Slayer’s “And Now We Drink” podcast.

Adelstein is a journalist who authored 2009’s “Tokyo Vice” and 2016’s “The Last Yakuza.” In addition to talking about the books, the two discussed Japan’s sex industry, organized crime, legal regulations and more.

“It was my absolute pleasure to sit down with legendary investigative journalist and ‘Tokyo Vice’ author Jake Adelstein,” Slayer said.

“Jake opened my eyes to the surprising ways in which Japanese porn and sex work function,” Slayer added. “And he was definitely a good sport about some of my weirder questions.”

The episode can be found online and on YouTube, as well as Apple Podcasts and most major podcast platforms.
