CeeLo Green to Rock X3 Expo

CeeLo Green to Rock X3 Expo

LOS ANGELES – Singer, songwriter, rapper and TV personality CeeLo Green will be the special musical guest at this week’s X3 Expo, performing Saturday at 8 p.m. at the historic Hollywood Palladium.

One of the most recognized all-around entertainers, Green’s career spans colossal hits such as the Gnarls Barkley single “Crazy,” a collaboration with Danger Mouse; his solo single, “Forget You”; his seminal work with Atlanta hip-hop crew Goodie Mob; his television work as a judge and coach on “The Voice” and star of TBS’ “CeeLo Green's The Good Life.”

Green’s work has been honored with five Grammy Awards, a BET Award, a Billboard Music Award and a Brit Award.

Gnarls Barkley’s 2006 soul/hip-hop classic “Crazy,” featuring rapturous vocals by Green, is a perennial staple of radio and streaming playlists, instantly recognizable from the first bars. “Crazy” reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and several other countries.

Green’s 2010 hit, “Forget You” — censored for radio play — also peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, and reached the top 10 in 13 countries.

Green is also currently featured on the Eminem track “The King and I,” from last year’s hit soundtrack for the Baz Luhrmann biopic “Elvis.”

“I always wondered why certain music spoke to me so profoundly,” Green told Far Out magazine in a recent interview. “I felt like I had to create it. I assumed the position of Ambassadorship: My music is believable, it’s real, it’s authentic, it’s convincing, it’s genuine, it’s integrable, it’s commendable. It’s not an emulation, it’s an embodiment. It’s me.”

Showcasing a wide variety of sizzling exhibits and solo booths for creators to connect with fans, promote merch and more, X3 Expo promises once again to deliver the biggest lineup of stars in North America along with the latest advances in digital entertainment and pleasure tech.
