CC Wellness Acquires Shibari Lubricant Brand

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — CC Wellness has acquired personal lubricant brand Shibari.

CC Wellness, which also owns the System JO line of lubricants, did not disclose details of the deal.

"Shibari will join our portfolio of creatively disruptive, consumer-facing wellness and personal care brands," said CC Wellness CMO Mimi Anderson. "Shibari possesses solid brand equity, is well-positioned in retail, and has great potential for deeper product repurchase behavior."

"We're bringing the Shibari brand in-house and will redesign its presence to build out its storytelling in e-commerce and specialty retail," she added.

Shibari products will be manufactured at CC Wellness's FDA-licensed facility in Santa Clarita.
