LOS ANGELES — Megan Swartz and Adam Hasner will hit the stage as the hosts of the retail edition of XBIZ Honors, set for Saturday, Jan. 14 at the W Hotel in Hollywood.
Marking the grand in-person return of the annual gala, the red-carpet event kicks off at 7:30 p.m., with the ceremony set to begin at 8:30 p.m.
Swartz is the director of purchasing for Deja Vu stores and has been with the company for over 20 years. The adult retail luminary has racked up several coveted XBIZ accolades as the winner of the 2021 Progressive Leadership Award and the 2017 Community Figure of the Year title. In addition, her SPAM (Sex Professionals and Manufacturers) Facebook Group received a 2021 XBIZ Award for Retail Education/Training Program of the Year, and her creation, the Together Vibe, won Couples Toy of the Year.
“We feel truly honored to be hosting the XBIZ Honors,” Swartz said. “I am super-pumped to be back in person for this year's show. I love the recognition given to all the hard-working individuals in our community. We all know how hard we work personally, but knowing others see it also is such a gratifying feeling.”
Industry vet Adam Hasner began his dynamic career in DVD distribution before crossing over into pleasure products. Currently, he serves as a sales exec for ElectricDistro. In 2014, he was named Businessman of the Year at the inaugural retail edition of the XBIZ Exec Awards. This year, Hasner and Swartz, his fellow XBIZ Honors host, are both in the running for Community Figure of the Year.
“To me, the nomination is the win,” Swartz said. “You have made an impact on many people to even be in the running for an award. That is a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to all the nominees and see you all soon!”
“It feels so great to finally be back in action after so much time apart,” Hasner said. “Megan and I are ecstatic to be hosting. This is such an honor.”
The two longtime friends will bring their good humor and relatable personalities to the glitzy stage.
