MARICOPA, Calif. — Noted sexpert, author and therapist Dr. Ava Cadell has opened the new Loveology Retreat in Maricopa.
An extension of Cadell's long-running online Loveology University, the Loveology Retreat is located on property that was formerly the Pine Mountain Buddhist Temple Retreat. A rep described the spot as "magical."
Cadell will offer a special program once a month. The first program, "Boosting Your Passion, Love and Happiness," takes place Oct. 14-16. In addition to Cadell, speakers will include Dr. Shannon Chavez, speaking on building emotional intimacy; Dr. Hernando Chaves, speaking on enhancing sensual pleasure; Sabrina Jackson, demonstrating the use of sexual movement for erotic empowerment and the healing of trauma; and Kundalini yoga instructor Ram Kirin.
"It has always been my dream to own and operate a retreat where I can deliver my seminars to students, couples, families, widows and widowers, instructing and empowering them to learn how best to live and love," Cadell said. "In addition, this retreat can also serve as an ideal desert and mountain location for filmmakers and TV productions, as well as for weddings and other family- and couples-friendly events."
The retreat will also include meditation, hiking and holistic healing workshops.
