Kazumi Profiled by Forbes as Prominent Social Media Influencer

LOS ANGELES — Forbes magazine has profiled indie content creator Kazumi, in a piece touting her influencer strategy based on “memes and viral social media.”

Forbes’ Jackson Weimer, whose beat involves “stories on new meme trends and interviews with the most important people behind the meme scenes,” described Kazumi as “a 25 year old model, content creator, influencer, and business owner.”

“Although the Instagram photos, TikTok snippets, and Twitter content is appealing in itself, Kazumi makes it apparent that there is more to her than what meets the eye,” Weimer wrote, adding that “her depth and ideology are shaking the internet.”

“It’s so important to love and appreciate yourself, no matter what you do, or who is judging you,” Kazumi told Weimer. “Society will paint you as a villain, if you let it. Especially women who are strong, independent, and free-spirited in their way of life.

“It’s always been community over competition for me,” Kazumi continued. “As a completely independent creator, a lot of my support has come from building strong relationships amongst my peers. We’re not fighting for the same consumers, we’re merely sharing them.”

Kazumi also explained that when she first started, she had no social media following, but gained popularity and influence by “making friends that would share tips and trade strategies with each other. I learned that it was possible to succeed without settling for less, or compromising certain values that were important to me. It taught me the strength of community and having each other’s backs and pooling resources. I’ve since thrown content parties, mixers, and advice pages to help other creators. It fulfills me to help everyone out and build connections.”
