LOS ANGELES — Content creator GoAskAlex has released a new installment of her YouTube video series in which she answers questions about the ileostomy surgery she had three years ago for ulcerative colitis.
The video offers further discussion on the pros and cons of the one-piece system that works best for her.
Sharing her story, noted Alex, involves "breaking the silence and the stigma surrounding bowel disease and life with an ostomy."
"The first time I used a one-piece was because they were sold out of the two-piece that I needed," she added. "I was amazed once I put it on; I was like, 'I feel like I'm not wearing anything,' whereas the two-piece is so bulky."
