LOS ANGELES — Multi-XBIZ Award winner Seth Gamble stars with Laney Grey in Pure Taboo’s “The Responsible One,” directed by Anatomik Media and featuring an appearance by Nadia Noja.
Grey portrays Holly, a young woman whose problems begin when she learns her older sister Andrea was fired from her latest waitressing job due to “irresponsible behavior.” With their rent due, Holly is frustrated that her sibling seems either unwilling or unable to pull her weight. After a heated argument, Holly angrily leaves, only to appear a short time later at the restaurant of Andrea’s former boss, Mr. Lewis.
Mr. Lewis is played by Gamble, who said he “couldn’t have hoped for a more ideal person to play Holly than Laney Grey.”
“She was emotionally and physically connected to the actual circumstances of her character,” he added. “The power of that type of visceral connection, when the performer is both emotionally connecting and using the energy of that connection to push the scene forward, is fascinating to watch.”
