NEW YORK — Damiano Films will premiere a 4K restoration of “Deep Throat” on the occasion of the film’s 50th anniversary, at The Slipper Room in New York City this Sunday.
The anniversary event begins with a cocktail party at 5 p.m. (EDT), featuring go-go dancers, a screening of the film, Q&A, a 1970s-themed burlesque show and a final midnight screening.
The unveiling of the 4K version will be preceded two days earlier by a special original-format 16mm print screening at the Roxy Cinema Tribeca and a “sneak peek” at the restoration.
The Roxy event will be cohosted by New York’s Museum of Sex, which will present original posters along with memorabilia from the private collection of Gerard Damiano, Sr.
Both shows are sponsored by Satisfyer and Penthouse Lingerie.
