HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The 2022 AltPorn Awards, presented by Bad Dragon, will return to an in-person ceremony at Bar Sinister in Hollywood Saturday, June 11.
"We have missed you all so much and, while the virtual editions of the AltPorn Awards were wildly successful, beyond what we had imagined virtual could be, we are just really happy about getting back to real life,” said a rep for ceremony producers AltPorn.net.
AltPorn’s Cutter Smith echoed the sentiment.
"Returning to being able to have a physical red carpet and being able to interact in person is such a pleasure. Authenticity is really important to us and this beautiful venue really fits our mission of supporting independent and alternative creativity, including gothic, fetish, burlesque, tattoo and everything which makes up the amorphous blob of a genre known as altporn, indie content and subculture erotica,” Smith said.
Bar Sinister's Tricia La Belle celebrated the opportunity to host the show at her venue.
"Out of our seclusion and privileged with life again. We’ve come to truly learn how much we need social interaction and to appreciate life a wee bit more," she said. "Bar Sinister has always been a haven for the uniquely creative and open-minded soul. Our incredible team at Bar Sinister and Boardners all came back eager to serve you, and assure that we run a great operation."
“We are beyond excited to see everyone again," she added. "So come play, don’t be afraid because you only live once.”
