LOS ANGELES — Movie history and analysis podcast “The Projection Booth” is kicking off a month of episodes discussing vintage adult films with an episode devoted to Gerard Damiano’s 1974 classic, “Memories Within Miss Aggie.”
Ashley West, from noted adult industry history archive The Rialto Report, and Samm Deighan are the guests of “The Projection Booth” host Mike White for a discussion of the Golden Age classic, Damiano’s follow-up to “The Devil in Miss Jones.”
The film “tells the tale of our titular Miss Aggie (Deborah Ashira), a woman of indeterminate age who lives in a remote cottage with her companion, Richard (Patrick L. Farrelly),” explained White. "She struggles to recall the circumstances that brought her to this place and time, which leads us to a series of flashbacks where we learn about Miss Aggie though she remembers herself as different women as she relives the past.”
“The film’s dark tone and surprise ending were unusual for the genre and era,” The Rialto Report noted.
