Ricky Greenwood, Adult Time Partner on Skateboarding Feature 'Grinders'

MONTREAL — XBIZ award-winning director Ricky Greenwood has paired with Adult Time on his forthcoming feature "Grinders," set for release in early summer with a cast of new and upcoming talent.

"Grinders" is described by a rep as "a '90s-inspired coming-of-age movie filmed in the no-rules skateboard aesthetic of that era. Lucky is a 20-year-old skateboarder at a crossroads in his life. As he wanders the city, landing tricks and running into old friends and new enemies, we are treated to glimpses of the sex lives of those around him. With Lucky slowly coming out of his shell, he gets back in touch with his longtime crush Morgan. But soon after, he’s faced with the toughest choice of his life. Will Lucky make the right decision?"

Adult Time plans to keep fans engaged throughout production, noted the rep, with "high-profile teasers" and other details about the feature and its cast. Production is set to get underway next month.

“Grinders is a movie I’ve wanted to do for a few years now, but never found the right studio to do it with me,” said Greenwood. “I’m more than happy to have Adult Time greenlighting this project and taking a chance on this project. I grew up skateboarding and watching skateboard movies so the idea of having an independent, raw and real adult film excites me a lot."

Bree Mills, Adult Time CCO, noted "our mission is to do porn differently."

"A huge element of this is supporting the creative talents within our industry," she said. "Ricky is a total cinephile who brings both passion and knowledge to the films he creates. He is surrounded by a great crew, many of whom have been part of some of our most successful past features. So it was a logical choice to get behind his idea and support it."

"I’m also proud that 'Grinders' will be paving the way for new actors to showcase their talents in a major studio project," added Mills.
