LOS ANGELES — Maitland Ward is celebrating a pair of wins at the 2022 XBIZ Awards, including the all-inclusive "Performer of the Year."
She also earned "Best Lead Acting" honors for "Muse 2" from Deeper and served as the host of the ceremony that marked a return to in-person events after nearly two years of virtual celebrations.
It is Ward's third consecutive lead acting win; "Muse 2" won "Feature Movie of the Year" and additional honors for its screenplay and cinematography.
"Not only was it amazing to be back on the red carpet and onstage to take part in such a celebrated and illustrious event with the most talented people in the business, it was just so special to win for 'Performer of the Year' as well as 'Best Lead Acting,'" Ward enthused.
"I can’t say enough thanks to the XBIZ tastemakers who voted for me, as well as reigning 'Director of the Year' Kayden Kross, who inspires me with her towering talent and overall brilliance, and the folks at Deeper and Vixen Media Group who gave me the opportunity to shine as a performer among so many great people in this industry," she continued. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart — it’s truly an honor and a privilege."
“While taking the leap into adult film was initially overwhelming and a little scary," she added, "I have been so blessed with an overwhelming sea of support over these past three years in the business, and I look forward to seeing what the future brings in 2022 and beyond."
