LOS ANGELES — Himeros.tv, founded by YouTube influencer Davey Wavey, has announced the launch of a DVD line through Pulse Distribution in the United States and Vimpex in Europe.
Himeros recently earned five nominations from the 2022 XBIZ Awards for "Gay Movie of the Year," "Gay Site of the Year" and three noms for "Best Gay Sex Scene."
The distro pact kicks off with the feature "Journeys," starring Calvin Banks and Chris Harder, and follows the story of a young man (Banks) grappling with the loss of his partner (Harder) as he moves through the five stages of grief by embarking on a series of sexual adventures, from "getting fucked by a stranger in the basement, to being comforted by an older daddy, who helps him forge a new path forward," noted a rep.
Elsewhere, "loving couple Otto (Andre Donovan) and Desmond (Adam Ramzi) struggle to communicate while experimenting with an open relationship. From bathhouse glory holes to passionate makeup sex, their journey is as exciting as it is hot. This swirling film shows the ‘Journeys' of these beautiful young men as they navigate sex and sexuality, as well as love and loss, at such a pivotal time in their lives."
Himeros will release six DVDs per year; following "Journeys," "Through the Looking Glass" will street in March.

A Vimpex rep added, "There aren't many new studios in the marketplace these days and certainly none that capture the moment quite like Himeros does with their unconventional movies. We look forward to a successful launch of the Himeros line."
Wavey described "Journeys" as "the perfect movie to launch our line."
"I'm so excited that our movies are going onto DVD, which has been an untapped sector of the market for us," he added. "I'm very tactile and love the physical product so I hope we get more gay men, who still prefer DVD, to connect with our content and our message with this new line."
