BDSM, Leather Gear Creator Leatherbeaten to Moderate #SexTalkTuesday

LOS ANGELES — BDSM and leather gear creator Leatherbeaten will serve as guest moderator for today's edition of the Twitter-based chat show #SexTalkTuesday from 5-6 p.m. (PDT).

Leatherbeaten, founded 25 years ago by Hyacinth, provided gear for upscale fetish shops in Australia, Europe and North America. Now retired from retail, Hyacinth recently started Leatherbeaten University to teach the craft of leatherworking.

"It's good to have a whip or flogger that makes everyone drool,” Hyacinth stated. “But it’s even better to say, 'I made that.'"

Angie Rowntree, producer of #SexTalkTuesday and the founder of Sssh.com, added, "We frequently discuss toys on #SexTalkTuesday, but it’s a rare pleasure to hear from someone like Hyacinth of Leatherbeaten who is an expert artisan [and] deeply familiar with the unique retail market."

"Whether you are into kink or not, this segment should hopefully lend some perspective to your next toy purchase," she said.

Participate in the discussion by following the #SexTalkTuesday hashtag and visit the show online and on Twitter.

Find Leatherbeaten online and on Twitter; follow Sssh.com on Twitter and XBIZ.tv and direct inquiries to Rowntree at editor@sssh.com.
