OhMiBod Founders Suki, Brian Dunham Earn 2022 XBIZ Exec Awards Noms

STRATHAM, N.H. — Suki Dunham and Brian Dunham, the founders of OhMiBod, have each earned nominations from the 2022 XBIZ Exec Awards, retail edition.

Nominees were selected based on several success factors including leadership, business acumen, community influence and overall career achievement as submitted by members of the adult industry via XBIZ.net.

Voting for the 2022 XBIZ Exec Awards is now open. Industry members may cast their votes here.

"In recognition of their exceptional efforts as company leaders in 2021, the New Hampshire-based married duo each earned a nod for 'Businesswoman of the Year' and 'Businessman of the Year,' respectively," noted a company rep.

“Brian and I are so thankful to XBIZ for not only creating the retail Exec Awards to acknowledge the hard work of those who create opportunities in the production, wholesale and retail space, but also for considering us among such an impressive group of talented people who were also nominated,” said Suki Dunham.

"It means so much to us that OhMiBod is on the radar of so many influential industry tastemakers who have the tough job of whittling down the list of nominees to only one person in each category who can take home the trophy, and it is such an honor to be considered for these awards," she added.

Fifteen years after launching OhMiBod’s first music-driven vibrator in 2006, the digital health and fitness creators, who cut their teeth in executive jobs for Apple’s product marketing department (Suki) and Tyco Electronics (Brian), are "still creating one-of-a-kind inventions to inspire imitators worldwide," the rep said.

Suki Dunham recalled she was once named "The OG of Sex Tech" by Rolling Stone magazine. "We didn’t set out to kickstart the teledildonics craze," she offered.

"The idea came about organically after Brian surprised me with two great gifts at the same time — an iPod and a vibrator — and I thought, ‘Why not enjoy the sensory experience of both at the same time?’ and we set about in making that happen," she said. "Now here we are."

The XBIZ Exec Awards will be presented as part of the annual XBIZ Honors ceremonies, with the online industry edition hosted on Jan. 5 in conjunction with the XBIZ L.A. conference and the retail edition on Jan. 11 during the ANME/XBIZ Show.
