LOS ANGELES — Joy Media Group and Samurai have inked an agreement covering exclusive North American DVD distribution as well as licensing and broadcasting rights.
Two initial titles have a street date of August 10; the first features trans performers from Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines, and the second spotlights "naturally busty" women from Japan.
Two additional titles will street August 25.
"We’re very excited about this opportunity and felt Joy Media Group was a perfect fit for our trans content; we shoot all over Asia. Our straight content is all direct from Japan," director and Samurai Co-Owner Kill Tone said.
Joy Media Group VP Dave Peskin described Asian content as "an incredible seller for all my retailers."
"We couldn’t be happier with the numbers going out the door on these first two releases and are most appreciative for all our customers' support. They share in our excitement for these very special Asian trans and [straight] Japanese movies," he added.
