Industry Attorney Stephan Ferris to Lead Queer-Focused FOSTA-SESTA Webinar

LOS ANGELES — Adult industry attorney Stephan Ferris (aka performer Blue Bailey) is hosting a free webinar titled "F*ck Your Community Standards! SESTA-FOSTA, Social Media & Adult Content Online" Wednesday, August 4, at 7:30 p.m. (PDT).

He will be joined by adult industry attorney Gill Sperlein and fetish content creator HungerFF. The event will be hosted by SF YLDG (San Francisco Young Leathermen's Discussion Group).

"This two-part discussion will cover the legal challenges created by FOSTA/SESTA for queer adult content creators online and how those challenges are affecting the ability of performers and creators to promote themselves and share content online," a rep explained.

"In the first part Stephan and Gil will explore the evolution of censorship in the queer adult entertainment arena, namely, FOSTA/SESTA's impact on social media community standards, heightened record and consent compliance standards for independent content creators and emerging legal issues in this sphere," continued the rep. "The second half of this session will include a conversation with fisting extraordinaire HungerFF, and a practical discussion of creating and navigating adult content creation and distribution online."

"If you are a content creator, moderate adult content online, run a kink or sex-positive group that uses online communication, or care about freedom of sexual expression online, this class is for you," the rep concluded.

The webinar will be conducted via Zoom; visit the event post on the SF YLDG Facebook page to RSVP. Direct inquiries to yldg@sfldg.org.
