LOS ANGELES — Darkside Magazine won the trophy for “Best Alternative Magazine” from the 2021 Altporn Awards.
Darkside was founded five years ago by editor Paul Donnelly. “We are thrilled to have won this award,” he said, “and it’s great to have all the hard work put in by our team recognized.”
The magazine publishes six times per year, with each issue covering the fetish and BDSM scene and often including advice, interviews and photos from up-and-coming fetish photographers.
“Darkside has gained a reputation for quality content and professional publication production whilst at the same time gaining a diverse and loyal readership,” Donnelly continued. “Our readership includes singles and couples of all ages from all over the world. Some are very experienced and have been involved with kink for much of their lives, while others are just starting out. We are mindful of the variety of readers we have, so we aim our content to suit, however far on their journey they might be.”
Winners of the 2021 AltPorn Awards were announced during a virtual ceremony May 28 on AltPorn.net.
