Corey Silverstein, CentroU to Lead 'Cyberbullies' Webinar

LOS ANGELES — Adult industry attorney Corey Silverstein will partner with Centro University on a new webinar, titled "Dealing with Cyberbullies," set for Thursday at 11 a.m. (PDT).

The event, hosted by MelRose Michaels, will discuss "individuals’ rights when dealing with cyberbullies and trolls, including practical and safe 'daily life' strategies, as well as legal options," a rep explained. "Attendees will also learn about criminal versus civil complaints, the difference between police reports and restraining orders and best legal options based on specific, individual circumstances."

FanCentro VP of Marketing Kat Revenga welcomed the attorney's return to CentroU.

"Corey is a master in his field, and we are thrilled to have his advice and guidance when it comes to dealing with cyberbullies,” Revenga said. "Cyberbullying is a huge issue for influencers. It can affect mental health, emotional wellbeing and motivation. Having the tools to successfully deal with trolls and bullies is essential in this industry, and this webinar will be a great opportunity for influencers to learn their rights."

Michaels echoed Revenga's enthusiasm about tackling this "frustrating, timely topic" with Silverstein.

"Cyberbullies aren't just annoying, they can be a serious threat to your mental health, especially when you don't know how to handle online abuse,” she said. “Not only that, but if trolls make you afraid to work, your income can take a major hit. It's so important to know what our rights are so we can fight back."

Silverstein described the forthcoming event as "another essential webinar."

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Centro U," he said. "Cyberbullying continues to rage out of control, and its victims often aren’t aware of all their practical and legal options. MelRose Michaels is a fantastic advocate and the perfect person to host this discussion."
