NEW YORK — Austin Wolf and Tayte Hanson topline the opening episode of "(Un)Lucky in Love," a new limited series from CockyBoys and co-directors RJ Sebastian and Jake Jaxson. The debut installment goes live tomorrow with subsequent episodes to premiere every Friday for the next few weeks.
Additional cast members include Brock Banks, Angel Rivera and fan-favorite Roman Todd in his studio debut.
CockyBoys won the 2021 XBIZ Award for "Best Gay Sex Scene" for the acclaimed "Lips Together — Six Feet Apart," which co-starred Rivera. Sebastian and Jaxson both earned XBIZ "Gay Director of the Year" nods, an award Jaxson has won three times; Wolf and Rivera were both 2021 "Gay Performer of the Year" nominees.
"Lucky Jones (Hanson) is ironically unlucky when it comes to finding love and equally as unfortunate in their hookup history," noted a rep. "So Lucky tries out a matchmaking service and films a fairly standard video profile. But during the course of the filming, they let down their guard and reveal the intimate details from one unexpected hookup."
"Having texted many guys, Lucky had their wires crossed and made plans with a smaller guy who they planned to manhandle. However, it's muscled beefcake Austin who answers the door and establishes from the start that he is in charge," continued the rep. "Austin holds Lucky by the neck, makes out with Lucky and begins to undress and silently dominate them."
Later, the rep added, "while lying in Austin's arms, Lucky confesses the mix-up, leading to one last twist."
Jaxson described "(Un)Lucky in Love" as "a quickie," noting it is "a cute, lighthearted series that we shot and released over the course of several weeks rather than several months or years."
"I'm sure a lot of people will connect with the storyline of this series, as we all feel unlucky in love at times," he added. "But, whether lucky or unlucky in love, fans will enjoy the standout scenes from the series as every performer in it truly shines."
