AEBN Trends Explores the Popularity of Anal Sex

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — AEBN has published a data-driven report about the enduring popularity of anal as a sex act and a porn category.

“With two decades of sales data at their disposal,” a rep said, “AEBN is in a position to track the rise and fall of adult categories with unique insight. As they explore the fascination with anal eroticism, they take a closer look at anal content on the adult video market.”

Thanks to many laws and cultural norms against it, the rep added, “anal sex holds the power of mystery and the allure of the forbidden. While anal is an approachable way for male/female couples to spice up their sex lives, it’s an everyday act of pleasure and love for all-male couples.”

“No laws or cultural taboos have managed to quell the interest in trying anal sex or watching it in adult content,” the rep continued.

AEBN’s data shows that anal content has remained popular not only in the gay adult library, but also in what the company calls the “straight” one, which also includes all-girl content.

Several questions are covered by the survey, including “What makes anal continue to be among the fastest selling genres?” and “What techniques and advice can consumers take from instructional videos?”

The article also examines the driving forces behind the staying power of anal eroticism and looks at ways the content can inform and inspire consumers.
