'Sex Tech Connect' Kicks Off 2nd Season With Bryony Cole

LOS ANGELES — Sex Tech Connect (STC), described as an online meet-up aimed at the sextech and adult retail industries, and professionals involved with sexuality research, journalism and the arts, will launch its second season Sunday, March 14, at 9 a.m. (PST) with entrepreneur and podcaster Bryony Cole.

Cole will lead Sunday's discussion with "her wealth of knowledge about sextech and the industry," explained a rep. "She is the creator and host of the top-rated 'Future of Sex' podcast and Lovehoney's resident sextech advisor. She recently also launched Sextech School, a course for entrepreneurs looking to get started in sextech."

Maxine Lynn, adult industry attorney and STC co-founder, observed that COVID-19 lockdowns "catapulted the use of sex toys, with sales reportedly exponentially increasing across the board."

"The adoption of sex toys shows no signs of stopping and the tech will follow the growing demand," Lynn added. "A discussion with Bryony and others in the industry will be a great and insightful dialogue."

Cole noted 2021 is "proving to be a breakout time for sextech with so many new products and features launching."

"One of the rare bright spots of the pandemic has been the focus on intimacy," she added. "It's been incredibly exciting to hear how companies are innovating in response to lockdown. For example, the new focus on 'silencing' toys is a direct result of feedback from toy-users who are living in close quarters with housemates [or] parents and is propelling industry standards further."

During Sunday's meetup, attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly to Cole and to network with each other. The event will be recorded and subsequently posted online.

"We at STC are excited to continue on our mission to connect players in the sextech industry from around the globe," said Lynn. "This is the first event of many in the works for 2021."
