Lustery Launches #SlowSex Valentine's Day Campaign

BERLIN — Lustery has announced a Valentine's Day campaign promoting non-performative, mindful sex, under the hashtag #SlowSex through their social media channels.

Lustery, described by a rep as “an inclusive platform for couples around the world to share their intimate videos in a safe manner," joined forces with “slow sex” couple Kate and Chris Marley and is inviting people to “focus on pleasure-centered sex,” said the rep.

“Against what many people think, porn can be a medium for depicting sensuality and tender intimacy,” the rep added. “Lustery wants to use pornography as a tool for healing your sex life. For Valentine's Day, our couple, Kate and Chris, produced a video showing how taking your time and consciously enjoying each and every touch can cultivate a deeper intimacy.”

In a joint statement, the Marleys expressed their hope, in openly sharing their relationship, to inspire "intimacy, more love and a stronger connection amongst relationships across the world."

"We are regular people just like everyone else and share a similar story to many people who follow us,” the couple added. “The only difference is that we felt our connection stood apart from anything we had ever seen in any media or in the people around us and we felt called to share it. Our mission is to show the world what true love and a healthy relationship actually looks like — sex and all."

Lustery's co-founder Paulita Pappel explained that ”mainstream media offers a very limited understanding of what sexuality can be in a relationship. At Lustery, we want to showcase different ways of looking at and enjoying sex with your partner.

“Porn can be an instrument to offer depictions of affection and closeness between partners beyond clichés or acrobatic performances,” said Pappel.

On Friday, Lustery will release their interview with the Marleys on YouTube and Instagram.
