LOS ANGELES — Veteran performer and director Dick Chibbles has announced the release of his book, “Chibbles: Memoirs of a B-List Porn Star”.
“The book is a tell-all journey of Dick's life story, from growing up in New York to reinventing himself into a widely recognized performer in the adult industry with over 380 movies along countless internet scenes,” said a rep. “It’s the comedic and sometimes extremely erotic in-depth view of climbing the ladder to a life in porn all the way up to the second-to-top rung.”
Chibbles’ career has spanned decades, from performing in parodies like “Star Wars XXX,” “This Ain’t The Wizard of Oz” and “Rocky Horror Picture Show Hardcore Parody” to high-profile features like “Wanted” and “Unbridled.” He has also directed features like “Saw: A Hardcore Parody," “Blair Witch Project Hardcore Parody” and Adam and Eve’s “Losers Never Get Laid.”
“And who could forget the notoriety of his breakout zany role in ‘Clown Porn,’ which made Rolling Stone write “clown porn, bad idea'?” said the rep.
“The ridiculous parody of his own movie, ‘Clown Porn: the Parody,’ was not only an interactive party game but also marketed as ‘the worst adult film of all time’ — and it somehow still landed XBIZ nominations,” the rep added. “Chibbles has always had a knack for breaking the rules.”
Chibbles followed “Clown Porn” with the independent film “Crackwood,” a western starring Gilbert Gottfried and Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister.
Over the last few years Chibbles has become one of the main performers for Adult Time’s Pure Taboo.
“Memoirs of a B-list Porn Star,” the rep said, is “a true candid look inside Dick’s career and life detailing all his sensitive, funny — and sometimes embarrassing — tales, from failures to award-winning performances.”
The book also gives Chibbles’ personal insight “on what it’s like to be married while having a career where your job is to have sex with other women, and what it takes to be one of only few hundred men worldwide to set foot in front of the camera and bare it all.”
“I’ve been writing my memoirs on-and-off for the past 20 years and the past few months I’ve really hunkered down to finish it,” said Chibbles. “It has truly been a long ride, as I’ve done almost every job in this industry from performing and acting to editing, writing, being a production assistant and directing my own movies.”
“The sheer number of stories to narrow down wasn’t an easy one, but the feeling of fulfilling this childhood dream has been amazing,” he added. “It’s truly been an honor to have worked with all of you through the years.”
