Rocco Siffredi, Lisa Ann Star in Turkish Sex-Ed Ad Campaign

ISTANBUL — Rocco Siffredi and Lisa Ann are the stars of a series of mainstream Turkish commercials and educational spots sponsored by condom brand Durex Chill.

The videos, which can also be seen on the DurexTurkiye YouTube channel, use the international adult stars as spokespersons to emphasize a message that commercial porn is a performance and not necessarily what people can expect from sex in their personal lives.

In one of the spots, Siffredi, dressed as a plumber in a stereotypical porn scenario, raps about how “he doesn’t really plumb,” and that the sex that ensues is equally performative.

“I’ve made a lot of commercials during my life, everywhere,” Siffredi told XBIZ. “And this was one of the best!”

“First of all, it is an Islamic country and they called me and Lisa Ann to do this kind of educational promotion — it’s incredible,” Siffredi added. “I was expecting Italy, France or Germany to come calling with this kind of project — I was not expecting Turkey! That shows me that prejudice doesn’t work in this world.”

Siffredi contrasted the openness of the Turkish campaign with his home country of Italy, where “they are not open to do something like this. But in Turkey, incredibly, they are. I really hope this is going to be the first step to start the campaign all over the world with big names in our business doing a similar commercial in different countries.”

“It’s very important for future generations, especially when governments are stepping away from much needed sex education,” Siffredi concluded. “I’m hoping this is the first step.”
