BERLIN — Director Matt Lambert and producer Jannis Birsner have teamed to create the Berlin-based independent production company Vitium.
Lambert's recent short film "Pleasure Park," a collaboration between Men.com and the Tom of Finland Foundation, stars Sean Ford, Joey Mills, Tannor Reed, Angel Rivera and River Wilson and was included in "Tom of Finland: Master Cut," a 2021 XBIZ Awards nominee for Gay Movie of the Year.
The filmmaker's first foray into adult was 2018's "Flower," a collab with Ford, Mills and Blake Mitchell for Helix Studios.
The inaugural release from Vitium will be "Subspace" for Men.com, and described as an "arthouse BDSM film" directed by Lambert and shot by cinematographer Christopher Aoun.
Last year, Lambert released "Moan Together," a PSA featuring The Cock Destroyers — aka Sophie Anderson and Rebecca More — to express support for "out-of-work sex workers during COVID which features self-shot lip-syncs from around the world," noted a rep.
The Vitium duo made waves in 2017 when they partnered with fashion designer Rick Owens on performance artist Christeene's fetish-heavy music video "Butt Muscle."
Vitium is "currently in development on upcoming projects with Kink.com, Erika Lust and Say Uncle as well as a series of independent shorts," said the rep.
