LOS ANGELES — VR Bangers' "Cyberpunk 2077: A XXX Parody," starring Sif Blvck and Sindal Xie, and inspired by the forthcoming video game, has received a burst of publicity from a tweet by Rafal Jaki, business development director for CD Projekt Red, the game's developer and publisher.
"I guess mimicking is the highest form of praise?" Jaki tweeted on November 27, which was followed up by a tweet from the official account for CD Projekt Red.
PC Gamer, among other gaming publications, also took notice of the VR Bangers parody.
"With the game still being over a week away from releasing [on] December 10, the parody by VR Bangers has already managed to draw a whole lot of attention," said a company rep. "Hopefully, the sexual fantasies for a lot of people all around the world will come true."
"Both Sif and Sindal have exceeded themselves [by] taking the regular performance of a XXX scene to the next level while impersonating characters from 'Cyberpunk,'" continued the rep. "This VR threesome is becoming one of the most popular VR Bangers videos, beating some of the hottest VR scenes from the company’s past."
VR Bangers Producer Roman Lit welcomed the mainstream attention, particularly for the studio's creative team.
"When we are making our VR parodies, we always want their climate to be as close as possible to the original product,” he said. "We are all glad to hear that our latest XXX parody has been acknowledged by both the game’s developer and the entire gaming community through the PC Gamer website — hopefully, lots of players will have a good time with our latest release and that our next VR parodies will be equally successful."
