HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Organizers of the 2021 Str8UpGayPorn Awards have replaced an in-person ceremony with its "Best of 2020" online fan voting contest.
Polls remain open through December 19; a rep noted more than 10,000 votes have already been cast.
"The Str8UpGayPorn Awards has been put on hold this year due to COVID-19," explained a rep. "While there’s no red carpet, no celebrity host and no opening of any envelopes, many of the same categories will be presented, including staples like 'Performer Of The Year' and 'Best Actor.' There are also some new categories added like 'Best Fantasy Boyfriend' and 'Best Quarantine-Themed Scene.'"
Str8UpGayPorn co-owner and editor Zachary Sire noted "big plans to keep evolving the awards into something even greater for 2021."
"But due to COVID it's not going to happen just yet. We still wanted to do something to honor the best of the year and let our huge fanbase of readers online determine every winner in our 'Best of 2020' categories," he added.
The period of eligibility runs from November 1, 2019 through October 31, 2020. Click here for a complete list of nominees and to cast a ballot.
