LOS ANGELES — Bella Rose is celebrating Friday's Global Cat Day by sending an exclusive nude to those who sign global advocacy organization Alley Cat Allies’s Global Cat Day Pledge.
“I was raised to believe in protecting and being kind to animals,” said Rose. “Recently, I was horrified to learn that cats are euthanized at extremely high rates — more than other shelter animals."
“Alley Cat Allies is dedicated to protecting and saving cats, and I’ve taken it upon myself to do my part to aid this group in their beautiful, humane cause,” Rose added. “They work with grassroots groups to promote programs such as Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) which make it possible for community feral and stray cats to live full and healthy lives in their own neighborhoods, instead of being killed at a shelter.”
Non-Lethal Feline Programs
Global Cat Day was founded in 2017 by Alley Cat Allies to “raise awareness about non-lethal feline programs, and demand that community leaders abolish policies that result in the killing of defenseless cats,” a rep explained.
“I want to encourage all my #BellasFellas to sign the Global Cat Day Pledge, learn more about TNR and support humane policies for cats,” Rose added. “I will be sending a nude pic to everyone who supports this cause via Twitter DM.”
“And yes, obviously it will be a ‘pussy’ pic!” Rose quipped.
To receive a free photo, participants must be at least 18 years of age and sign the Global Cat Day Pledge online before midnight on October 16. Then, follow Rose on Twitter and tweet her about signing the pledge, using the #GlobalCatDay hashtag. Over the weekend, Rose will send each fan who tweets her a “pussy pic.”
“Please help Alley Cat Allies be a powerful voice for these beautiful animals,” Rose concluded, “and be an advocate for cats on October 16.”
