Eldorado Hires Derek DalPiaz as Director of Sales

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Eldorado Trading Company has announced the appointment of Derek DalPiaz as the company’s director of sales, to work directly with customers, suppliers and the Eldorado sales team.

A Colorado native, DalPiaz graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in business and computer information systems. He also earned an MBA in management and operations from the University of Colorado, Denver. He comes to Eldorado with professional experience in both manufacturing and wholesale distribution. DalPiaz is Six Sigma certified, which prioritizes a “disciplined, statistical-based, data-driven approach and continuous improvement methodology. Certified Six Sigma professionals are experts in process analysis, reducing costs and increasing profits," the company explained.

“Derek’s business knowledge and experience will be a tremendous asset to the company,” Eldorado CEO Wanda Garland said. “His Six Sigma expertise will be influential to employee morale, customer service, and, of course, revenue.”

DalPiaz said that he looks forward to getting to know the sales team and seeing which best practices will work well for Eldorado and the industry.

“Working for a smaller, family-oriented company makes it easier to make decisions that effect meaningful change,” he said. “Learning how Eldorado best fits into the supply chain will show us we can better serve both manufacturers and retailers.”

DalPiaz will be working at the company’s headquarters in Broomfield.
