LUGANO, Switzerland — Euro-stars Alexis Crystal, Cherry Kiss and Nesty topline "AbomiNation," a new drama produced by Swiss art collective The Benefit Monkey.
It is the first such project from Benefit Money. "They keep an eye on art and an eye on lust," a rep explained. Kiss also served as a producer.
"Cherry is a great producer. She found a way to contact Alexis and [invited] her to join our project," said the rep. "The script is very powerful. It touches on actual world politics, with a strong point of view."
The rep described Crystal as "absolutely wonderful" in the title role.
"It was a huge acting [job] for Alexis," they continued. "You will cry with her and you will love her in every frame."
Kiss expressed pride with the final product.
"There is some sex in it, but it's not the point of the movie," she said. "The point is the situation that we have now, with the quarantine, the economic crisis, the riots for human rights. But what could happen if, at a certain point, someone would start using these events to bend people to his own will? Well, you will see our [version] of the dystopian present."
"AbomiNation" will be taken out to festivals and then premiere online; a release date is yet to be determined.
