BIPOC-AIC Hosts 'Consenting Adults' Event Tonight for Talent

LOS ANGELES — The BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color) Adult Industry Collective will be hosting a "Consenting Adults" panel tonight with performers, King Noire, Wolf Hudson, BlakSyn and Mickey Mod tonight at 5 p.m. (PDT).

This is the BIPOC-AIC’s announcement:

This workshop is designed for male-identifying performers and crew members to sharpen their professional practices around consent and boundary-setting on porn sets. All talent are welcome, but this event will prioritize male/masc-presenting voices. This event is free. Please RSVP at consentingadults1@eventbrite.com.

About the Presenters:

BlakSyn is a Philadelphia-based BDSM educator, writer, visual artist, professional dominant, content creator, relationship anarchist and lover of rubber ducks who identifies as a queer non-binary man (pronouns: they/them). After years of witnessing the lack of representation in alt communities, namely BDSM, they began their foray into sexual education as a way to spread the gospel of BDSM to the marginalized via social media.

Known as the “King of Kink," adult film star King Noire has many facets. As an activist and musician he has toured the world sharing his talents. King has earned an outstanding reputation in the fetish industry as a Master Fetish Trainer, operating by the credo that “sexual expression is artistic expression." King offers live shows, “kinky pop-up" parties, fetish education and training seminars with his partner, Jet Setting Jasmine. Together, they own the award-winning Royal Fetish Films.

Bay Area-based sex worker Mickey Mod has been a performer, director, software engineer and producer in the adult industry for 13 years. His work crosses many genres, from BDSM to mainstream, and has been nominated for several XBIZ Awards and served a term on APAC (Adult Performer Advocacy Committee) as vice president. Mickey recently took the position of Creative Director at Kink.com this past January and is looking forward to bringing his unique perspective to the company and industry.

Wolf Hudson has been an openly bisexual adult performer since 2006 and has performed in straight, gay, bisexual, trans and BDSM genres. He’s been an advocate for inclusivity and breaking down the stigma associated with men performing in gay and straight porn. He’s been credited with reviving the bisexual M/M/F genre as a content creator and had broadened the genre to mainstream attention

About the BIPOC Adult Industry Collective

The BIPOC Adult Industry Collective was formed to answer the call to address the adult entertainment industry's issues with racism, including disparate wages based on ethnicity, and to develop, advise and implement strategies to correct these issues. The BIPOC-AIC believes all marginalized communities must be included in all discussions when making decisions surrounding repairing harm against impacted communities. We are a group of performers, directors, and producers, spanning a range of jobs within the consensual, commercial sex trade, dedicated to working towards bringing about changes needed in order to make the adult industry a safe space for all to work, explore, and thrive, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity or sexual orientation.
