SAN FRANCISCO — Falcon/NakedSword will present the 2020 "Miss Pineapple" Pageant as a virtual fundraiser for Pineapple Support on Sunday, July 5, at 3 p.m. (PDT). The festivities will broadcast live on NakedSword.com and on the company's official Twitch channel.
"Drag and porn fans around the world, get ready to gag as some of today’s hottest leading men of gay porn turn into stunning drag queens and battle it out to compete for the coveted title of 'Miss Pineapple 2020,'" a rep enthused.
Participants will include Beaux Banks, Calvin Banks, Jack Hunter, Avery Jones, Levi Karter, Steven Lee, Dakota Payne and Diego Sans.
BelAmi, CockyBoys, FleshJack, Flirt4Free, KinkMen, Masqulin, Mr. Man, Next Door Studios and the Say Uncle Network have signed on as sponsors.
Sister Roma, from nonprofit service org the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and director Marc MacNamara will co-host the pageant; celebrity judges include XBIZ-winning director mr. Pam, "RuPaul's Drag Race" breakout star The Vixen and internet sensation Sophie Anderson of the Cock Destroyers.
"Join the fun, root for your favorite queen and make it rain," said the rep. "Fans will be given the opportunity to tip their favorite contestants and donate to Pineapple Support during the live broadcast."
Pineapple Support was founded in 2018 by former performer Leya Tanit. The organization, a registered nonprofit in the United States and a registered charity in the United Kingdom, has connected over 1,000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.
"This is the perfect antidote to the stress and trauma faced by so many of us in the past few months," said Tanit. "I'm incredibly thankful to the Falcon/NakedSword team for helping put on this fundraiser, which will provide crucial support to LGBTQ+ and other performers who are struggling, and I am excited to see the transformations."
Tim Valenti, president of Falcon/NakedSword, echoed Tanit's enthusiasm.
"I'm beyond excited to work with all these amazing sponsors, hosts, judges, performers and production and marketing staff to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience to fans and raise money for an organization that is doing so many positive things for performers and the porn industry at large," he said.
