Industry Exec David Diamond Passes Away

LOS ANGELES — Industry sales vet David Diamond has passed away at the age of 61.

Diamond, the sales manager for Girlfriends Films, suffered a massive cardiac arrest last month while cycling on Pacific Coast Highway. A GoFundMe campaign had been launched to help him with medical bills and additional expenses.

Girlfriend Films COO Moose said Diamond would be greatly missed by himself and the company where he worked since 2014.

"Words cannot express the deep loss we feel over David’s passing," he said. "He was not only a legend in the industry but a very good friend and remarkable person. His legacy will no doubt carry on here at Girlfriends and for everyone who knew him. I loved him and we will miss him greatly."

NS Novelties account executive Janet Reynolds, announced the passing of her friend on Facebook.

“It is with great sadness I am extending the news that David passed away peacefully about 30 minutes ago,” she said on Monday night. “To those who knew him it is a tremendous loss. His family would like to thank everyone who donated to his GoFundMe and express their deepest gratitude.”

Diamond’s colleagues from the pleasure products industry reacted to the news.

"I worked with him when I first started in this industry 15 years ago at Hustler,” said Briana Honz Watkins, the North American VP of sales for M.D. Science. “We shared many laughs and remained each other’s cheerleaders along the years. I have no words. Rest well my friend; you will be missed by your industry family.”

Aneros director of sales and marketing Brent Aldon said Diamond was not only an asset in the industry but was also a friend.

“A friend who has supported me in all my industry adventures,” he said. “We made plans to celebrate when everything is back to normal during the 2021 ANME show... and now I will make sure I honor him by taking a shot (several) as we planned. I will truly miss you, buddy!”

Williams Trading sales ambassador Paul Reutershan said that “the world lost one of the great ones” with the passing of Diamond.

“I’ll always remember your sharp wit, generosity and all the laughs we shared over the last two decades,” he said.
