Pleasure Chest in Chicago, Los Angeles Offer Curbside Pickup

LOS ANGELES — The Pleasure Chest has re-opened outlets in Los Angeles and Chicago (Lincoln Avenue) for curbside pickup following "stay-at-home" orders due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In accordance with local guidelines, the Los Angeles outlet will offer curbside service from 12 to 8 p.m. daily, while the Lincoln Avenue, Chicago location will offer the same service Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m.

Customers may call ahead, or place an order online and select "curbside pickup" at checkout. Pleasure Chest is offering the "Masturbation May Self-Care Sale" for online orders with a 15% discount and free shipping for all orders over $75.

"We are humbled by our customers' enthusiastic response to the Pleasure Chest opening for curbside pickup,” Owner Brian Robinson said. “While there is a learning curve to this new format, we are monitoring and following city and CDC guidelines to ensure that our stores are operating in accordance with public safety. Social distancing signage and other safety precautions have been implemented at both locations to secure staff and customer safety. We are streamlining the process to be as safe and simple as possible."

National Purchasing Director Phoebe Grott explained the company remains committed to "our tradition of offering a judgment-free, sex-positive adult retail experience."

"As the world shifts its focus, we will emphasize our regular programming of self-pleasure and self-care to help foster more connection during these socially distant times," she said. "Now more than ever, it is important to monitor trends and evolve as a business to support the pursuit of pleasure as a self-care tool."

The Los Angeles outlet is located at 7733 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, which includes a large parking lot for pickups. Call (323) 650-1023 for customer service.

The Chicago (Lincoln) outlet is located at 3436 N. Lincoln Avenue; this outlet also offers a parking lot for pickups. Call (773) 525-7151 for customer service.
