Sovereign Syre Writes, Stars in 'Transgressions' for Pure Taboo

MONTREAL — Adult Time is tub-thumping Tuesday's premiere of "Transgressions: A Sovereign Syre Story," which Syre wrote for herself under the direction of Joanna Angel.

The "disquieting" script, a rep notes, tells the story of an unhappily married woman who "bears the emotional weight of a cold, cruel husband (Stirling Cooper), an achingly complicated relationship with her best friend (Casey Kisses) and the destruction of trust beyond redemption."

Syre relished the opportunity to stretch her creative muscles.

"I've always wanted to write my own porn scene, and Pure Taboo was awesome enough to give me a shot at it,” she enthused. “I wanted to write about a woman struggling to get pregnant who is stuck in an abusive situation, and to normalize being in a relationship with a person that is trans. Casey Kisses is simply my best friend and there’s no reference to her being trans and I’m so glad that Pure Taboo let me write it that way."

The star expressed gratitude for her director, crew and costars.

Angel "transformed my treatment into a polished script that was exactly what I wanted to portray," Syre said. "I love working with Joanna’s crew, specifically Mike Quasar. I really like the way he shoots sex.”

"Stirling is someone I thought represented the perfect ideal of masculinity and was someone that I really wanted to have from Day One. Casey is a passionate sex performer and generous in what she gave to me as an actress," Syre continued. "Everyone on set could tell that this was something important to me, and they really did their best to put in strong acting performances, which isn’t something that people are normally asked to do in porn, so I’m super-grateful. Making 'Transgressions' is one of the best experiences I’ve had in adult, and I can’t wait to do more with Pure Taboo and Adult Time."
