CarraShield Labs Unveils New 'Divine 9' Display

ORLANDO — CarraShield Labs is now offering a new retail display to showcase the benefits of using Divine 9 lubricant, which is formulated with carrageenan — a sea algae extract used in food products.

The FDA-approved lube has been the used in vitro (laboratory) and in vivo (mouse) studies conducted by the National Cancer Institute to show how it acts as an HPV blocking agent.

“A selling point would be that this in-store display for Divine 9 lubricant promotes the proven ability to reduce the likelihood of a cancer-causing infection,” CarraShield Labs director of sales Jeff Hawkins said. “A customer can capture the easy-to-see QR code and their smartphone will launch a short, compelling video explaining the many benefits of using Divine 9 lubricant.”

Divine 9 has been used in HPV studies conducted by Rutgers, Albert Einstein Medical Schools and McGill University. During the 2017 Rutgers and Einstein study, which was funded through a grant by the National Cancer Institute, 100 sexually active women were recruited and then are randomly assigned to receive either Divine 9 with CarraShield as a blocking agent or an ordinary personal lubricant as a placebo. The women were asked to use an applicator of either Divine 9 or the placebo before, during or within 12 hours after a sexual encounter. Each participant was tested monthly for a wide range of HPV types to determine if CarraShield is able to protect against acquiring new HPV infections.

According to Hawkins, the new Divine 9 retail display can be ordered by contacting him at (310) 720-0215 or via email at jeff@divine9lubricants.com.
