LOS ANGELES — Content creators Jessie Sage and PJ Sage are the center of a new episode of the Vice TV docu-series "Body of Work" titled "We Make Porn to Pay Our Rent." The Sages are 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards nominees for Best Duo Clip Artist.
A rep notes the Sages were chosen to represent "the experience of producing and selling DIY porn as a couple," in contrast to "the sensationalism of many documentaries featuring the [adult] industry."
The episode features their daily experience as they navigate their lives and produce and star in content together.
"While self-shooting in various corners of a home may not be as glamorous as mainstream studio productions, the Sages have an intimate, loving relationship that they share in both the documentary and in the content they create," the rep explained.
"While the choice of their side hustle hasn’t always been easy for their friends and their extended family to understand, it has allowed them to have a more flexible lifestyle where they have the freedom to choose when they want to churn out sex-work related content."
The Sages host the Peepshow Podcast, focused on the sex industry; Jessie also works as a phone sex operator and sex columnist, while PJ is a photographer and writer. PJ is currently in recovery from cancer surgery.
Their episode of "Body of Work" went live on Tuesday and has already accrued over 219,000 views.
