PEARL, Miss. — Amidst historic flooding in southern Mississippi and its capital city, Jackson, adult boutique Romantic Adventures reported that consumers nevertheless braved the treacherous weather to indulge in Valentine's Day goodies.
“Unfortunately, storms and floods are a part of life here in the Jackson area, and local businesses are used to losing revenue during severe weather events,” said store proprietor Tami Rose, "which is why we were shocked that so many people came in to visit us to stock up on ‘home supplies’ for Valentine’s Day this past weekend!”
Rose notes that plenty of amorous singles and couples found their way to Romantic Adventures to indulge in colorful lingerie, massagers, oils, sexy games and smoking supplies while riding out the storm.
Following the holiday weekend, Rose thanked consumers for their support, noting that the store is still "high and dry and well-stocked" for those hoping to get their hands on some new items.
“When you live on the river you have to get good at going with the flow,” teased Rose.
