Adult Time, Burning Angel Smash Stereotypes in 'Rough' New Series

MONTREAL — Adult Time and Joanna Angel’s Burning Angel are rolling out the four-part limited series “Girls Like It Rough.” The opening installment, titled “Aiden Ashley,” debuts today.

Angel helms each unscripted episode, which serve as showcases for “the uninhibited talents of beautiful, empowered women in the throes of fierce sexual workouts that get down-and-dirty in an exquisitely consensual and mutually desired setting.”

For “Aiden Ashley,” Angel opens the action by interviewing the title star, who details her pleasure for rough play before “accelerating into an unrestrained encounter with Kyle Mason,” a rep notes.

Angel enthused about the “Girls Like It Rough” concept.

"Ever since I started making porn, I've always despised the phrase ‘porn for women.’ There's a misconception that ‘for women’ must involve an excessive amount of foreplay and a long, romantic plot,” she explained. “While there are many women out there who enjoy that, there's an equal number who enjoy rough sex.”

She sees “Girls Like It Rough” as allowing performers to break free of traditional stereotypes.

"In addition to the stereotypes about what we, as women, are supposed to enjoy, there are many performers who get pigeonholed as ‘innocent’ when they actually pride themselves on being hardcore," said Angel. "I want this series to be a space for them to express themselves. The result is a beautiful, filthy and authentic new perspective on what women want!"

Adult Time CCO Bree Mills described the concept as fitting perfectly into the platform’s mission of “challenging conventions and doing porn differently.”

"This series is a perfect example of that,” she said, “and I'm very excited to see what fans take away from watching these amazing hardcore performers enjoying themselves under the trusted direction of Joanna Angel!"
