Jade Kush Joins Asa Akira, Marica Hase on the Runway for N.Y. Fashion Week

NEW YORK — Jade Kush will take part in New York Fashion Week, walking the runway as part of Sunday afternoon’s show for Berlin design duo Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl of Namilia, in an event organized by Pornhub.

The 21-year-old Kush will join Pornhub ambassador Asa Akira and "Penthouse Pet" Marica Hase in "a landmark crossover cultural intervention," a rep enthused. The leading tubesite is promoting the trio as "the first-ever adult stars to walk the runway at Fashion Week."

“Before I got into erotic modeling I’d looked into mainstream — and even some alternative-style — but my height and body type isn’t typical ‘runway’ material,” said Kush. “I’m thankful for this opportunity from Pornhub and Namilia for not just including me in not merely a mainstream fashion event, but New York Fashion Week!”

Namilia was founded by Li and Pfohl in 2015 after they graduated from the Master's course at the Royal College of Art London. The fashion provocateurs’ first collection, "My Pussy, My Choice,” was selected for VFILES runway in October of that year.

Namilia’s current Fashion Week collection is called "Herotica," and the designers say that their adult industry guest stars this weekend are "part of a feminist statement."

“The cosmos of sexual pleasure has been restricted to a few boring and chauvinistic narratives,” Li told the New York Post's Page Six, “Porn isn’t something existentially male. Most women just have been excluded from determining the narrative.”

While renowned for their trademark outlandish raver gear, the team is focused on bringing a voice to women's issues through their designs. Namilia has been posting promotional images on its Instagram of the Herotica collection, including tights bearing the phrase “Feminism Fucks,” and a vaguely cyborg-inspired sculptural shoulder piece with “Cock Wreckers” emblazoned on it.

“I really like their style and designs and am very excited to see what they have picked out for us to wear,” Kush remarked.
