HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Winners of the 3rd annual Str8UpGayPorn Awards, presented by ManyVids, were announced last weekend during a ceremony at Avalon Hollywood nightclub hosted by comedian and activist Kathy Griffin.
“Griffin opened the show with her hilarious brand of humor and wit that only she could deliver,” a rep exclaimed. “As she flipped through the award show guide, she riffed off titles of nominated movies and sexual positions and gave nod-after-nod to gay culture, showing she has her ear to the ground and knew her audience perfectly.”
Trophies in 29 categories were handed out, including a Lifetime Achievement honor to Durk Dehner from the Tom of Finland Foundation.
“In a rousing moment, Griffin appeared on stage after Dehner's speech and thanked him for his influence on gay sexuality and his social activism over the past four decades. The capacity crowd roared and gave Dehner a well-deserved standing ovation,” said the rep.
Comedian Bruce Vilanch was accompanied by BelAmi star Yannis Paluan to present the Best Picture award to “Vegas Nights” from Helix Studios.
Blake Mitchell earned Performer of the Year for his 2019 scene work with Helix Studios, CockyBoys and BelAmi.
Additional winners include Sean Ford as Best Actor for “Le Garcon Scandaleux” (CockyBoys); Jake Jaxson & RJ Sebastian as Best Director for “Le Garcon Scandaleux”; and “Blake Mitchell is An American in Prague” (BelAmi) as Favorite Series.
Wess Russel’s CockyBoys scene work earned Favorite Debut Performance honors. Theo Brady won Favorite Twink; Alex Mecum won Favorite Daddy; Max Adonis earned Favorite Versatile Star honors; and Rhyheim Shabazz won Best Newcomer.
Michael Delray, from “Get Your Dick Outta My Son!” (Men.com), and Adam Ramzi for “Scared Stiff 2: The Amityville Whore” (NakedSword Originals) tied for Best Supporting Actor.
Cade Maddox earned Favorite Gay Porn Star laurels.
