Kink.com Names Mickey Mod Creative Director for Content

SAN FRANCISCO — Performer and filmmaker Micky Mod is Kink.com’s newly hired Creative Director for Content.

His duties will include expanding the company’s “hardcore BDSM and fetish content,” a rep notes, by nurturing relationships with current production partners and by seeking new partnerships with established names in the genre.

The San Francisco-based Mod began his longtime affiliation with the company in 2010. “In addition to performing and directing for the company, Mod helped grow Kink.com’s ‘Behind Kink’ documentary series,” said the rep, “and spent the last two years working as a software engineer on the site’s technology team."

In addition, Mod has served as VP of the Adult Performers Advocacy Committee (APAC) as an advocate for sex workers’ rights.

“Mickey’s been a part of the Kink family for years and brings so much to the table in this role,” said Mike Scott, the studio’s head of content. “He’s been on both sides of the camera and knows the business inside-and-out.”

“Over the next few weeks, we’ll be scouting the shows for new production talent,” Scott continued. “Anyone who is interested in working with Kink should make time to talk with us.”

Mod enthused about the new career opportunities.

“It’s exciting to be able to join the Kink content team at a time when they’re expanding their slate,” he said. “I am passionate about quality BDSM and fetish content, and am looking forward to talking with interested producers over the next few weeks, and seeing what might be right for Kink.com.”
