Pornhub Announces Sponsorship of Pineapple Support Summit

NEW YORK CITY — Pornhub has announced it is sponsoring a digital health summit for Pineapple Support, an organization that focuses solely on the mental health of adult entertainment performers and provides them with 24/7 psychotherapy, counseling and emotional support.

The inaugural "Pineapple Summit" will be held online tomorrow and Thursday, October 30 - 31, and will focus on the well-being of adult performers.

As XBIZ reported yesterday, Pineapple Support announced the lineup for the seminar, featuring therapists and experts from around the globe discussing different aspects of mental and physical health, therapy and coping skills.

“We’re excited to work with Pineapple Support again and sponsor their inaugural Pineapple Summit to help adult entertainment performers,” said Pornhub VP Corey Price. “Since our Pornhub Model Program launched a year-and-a-half ago, we have watched our community grow to over 100,000 members. It’s especially important to us that we’re able to provide them, and others, with support and access to resources that they might not have otherwise.”

Price added that the summit is "designed to continue the conversation about mental health, resilience and growth so that performers are equipped with the necessary tools to successfully pursue their careers. I hope people can tune in and take part."

Occurring online, the Pineapple Support Summit will release a series of seminar videos from what they describe as “some of the top therapists and experts in the world.”

The videos promote and encourage positive discussions on health — ranging from the effects of stigma to anxiety to how to recognize and cope with trauma — and will subsequently be featured on Pornhub’s Sexual Wellness Center as part of the site’s new section dedicated to adult performers.

“The Pineapple Summit is the product of the nearly two years of work we've done with performers and therapists at Pineapple Support,” said Leya Tanit, founder and president of Pineapple Support. “In reviewing session-after-session, I've been astounded by the urgent, important tools that these speakers bring to performer mental health. I couldn't be prouder to partner with Pornhub and Modelhub on this incredible event and look forward to the conversations it inspires.”
